"Im gettin late for work..."

Wow, couldve hav never imagined the kind of stir that phrase, comin from me, would leave me in!! Not the first day at Wipro, not the bond agreement procedure, and definitely not the stipend; but this small phrase, uttered at the moment of dire desperation, did the trick. Thanks to the auto wala, who, despite bein urged to go as fast as he could, found enough time to hand signal an approachin speed bump or a stallin bus to warn the people at the rear. And also thanks to the guy who found the driver's gestures disturbing enough to pass a sneerin remark while passin us by. Needless to say, what ensued was a fierce self-righteous reaction from the driver and an equally fierce 'what the hell .. ' from the passerby. I was left out of the 'game', wonderin why i didnt hav enough sense to apply for the office transport. I jerked out of my thoughts soon enough to find the passer-by gettin off his bike to settle the score. And all I could think of was 'The Phrase' to forestall what evidently wouldve led to an hour long quarrel.

Yea im aware that most of my friends would flip over if they were to know that 'work' is the term i chose to define what we do these days, but hey, dont snatch away the simple pleasure of the white lie, not yet :).

The whole incident jus left me hoping. Hoping that I'd always be able to associate that phrase with that kind of warm sensation, nevermind the small cynical voice which jus said 'You wish!!'

Oh btw, im keepin up with my 'new net connection- new post on the blog' tradition. Though a week overdue!

Im so depressed.

Is it jus me or do all people tend to make themselves feel all the more worse when they already are miserable? I have this nasty habit of exaggerating things way out of proportions, so much so that I end up chocking for the most inconsequental of things. Is this what is called self-pity??!!

Oh btw, Isnt that snap awesome? I don rembr who took it, or which web site i snitched it from,but.. Kudos to you mann..

well it was more of a problem of some cookie settin or java script enablin with firefox. Used Explorer and it worked jus fine :).

Theres a reason why I stay clear of long mails/letters/blogs. You could see the reason too,if u care to read beyond a few sentences of the previous blog. What happened there was a simple case of me getting tried with the "plot" and hurryin up to finish it, while blamin it on the "boredom". So, why am i not edittin it? No idea. Jus too lazy may be? Or,it could be the small voice in my head which decided that it wouldnt be too much of a help,its goin to happen again anyway. Ok,im losin it again.. Im outta here...

End Of an Era

Remember how you read and heard the "other" people ranting on about how much they miss their school/college life?! Oh no, i don feel the pinch yet, though some still say (and hope? ) with utmost fervor that i soon will. And this aint about 'missin' my college life,its more about the lack of it. I mean, hey my college life all but constituted a few good friends and some routine,laid out schedule to occupy (read leech) my time. The first of those, im assumin i still and will have and the second of those, ha, itll be a miracle if that din come back to bite me and coax me into quittin my work. And funnily enough, the 4 years of my engineering student life, which supposedly are the best years in one's life (suprisin how i never can get tired of sayin that phrase) has been all but a blur of

Phase 1: 'hey we still hav lots of time before the exams'
Phase 2: a sudden realization of how much we need cram into pur heads and how less time we hav before the exams started
Phase 3: the hurried last minute preps
Phase 4: a new found faith in God and a firm belief that he'll see to it that we don flunk,(esp on the mornin of the exam and while attemptin the paper and realizin without an ounce of doubt that all the answers were jus triangles,rectangles and all kinda polygons, no wait.. it never usually went beyond a pentagon)
Phase 5: the fervent resolutions to be better prepared for the next "series"
Phase 6: a week of nail bitin anticipation before the results are announced
Phase 7: the sigh of relief
Phase 8: and .. before we knew it,we were lookin at the "start" of the circle ppl

and im not really sure id want that "circle" in my life again. The profs, umm , we hav a couple (jus a couple) of good ones here. I never got to appreciate and make use of em while i could, was busy tryin to hav fun u see. The others jus fall into the varied categories ranging from 'i know my stuff but im busy with other things more important than u right now' to 'i know my stuff and i derive pleasure out of torturin you' to 'i don know my stuff but im still gonna torture you' to 'i don know my stuff nor do i care abt u' . Id like be jus crazy to miss em. And i don think id hav any of the nostalgia associated with the college as such. Definitely not after they (the administration) made us go around the college so many times and for so many days for an endless and bizarre list of no-due letters, which im yet to see the end of. So what exactly am i supposed to be missing here?! I cant say 'lack of responsibility'. Coz god knows, we had more responsiblities than we ever could imagine. What with not flunkin the exams with one day preparations and all. No, seriously!! (actually that din really occur to me until one of my friends pointed it out). Mann,how i jus wish i could say i miss my college life and mean it ..

but on the other side of the coin, suprise suprise .. looks like i am gonna miss vizag .. wow,i din see that one comin .. took one early joinin date from my future workplace to confirm that .. heh,who'd hav thought ..

Anyways, i still hav some time left to finish readin those books ive been intendin to for a while, not to mention the movies and couple of FRIENDS episodes.Absolutely no complains with my life, not yet anyway :)..
